Who We Are
Superior Emergency Restoration is a family-run restoration company based in McKinney, Texas. We handle water, fire, mold, and biohazard damage for homes and businesses across the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex, and we rebuild what the damage took out. Owner Benjamin Gurau built the company on one idea: treat every customer like family rather than like a job number.
In practice that means a few specific things. We tell you what we actually find, including when the news is that a floor cannot be saved or that the job is smaller than you feared. We document everything from the first visit. And we do not disappear between the dry-out and the repair, which is where most restoration projects stall.
What We Do Differently
Most restoration companies handle mitigation and hand you off to a general contractor for the rebuild. That handoff is where schedules slip, scope gets disputed, and homeowners end up project-managing two companies who each think the other owns a problem.
We carry the whole loss. The crew that dries your property is the crew that rebuilds it, so the rebuild starts from documented moisture readings rather than an assumption, and there is one point of contact throughout.
What that means for you
- A real person answers the phone, any hour — not an answering service
- Crews based in Collin County, so response times are a normal drive
- IICRC-certified technicians in six disciplines
- Documentation from the first visit: photos, moisture readings, scope notes
- Mitigation and rebuild under one contract
- Free on-site estimates, with the scope in writing before work starts
Our Certifications
Our technicians hold IICRC certifications covering water restoration, structural drying, applied microbial remediation, fire and smoke restoration, odor control, and carpet cleaning. That range matters because a real loss is rarely one category — a house fire leaves water damage, and a long-running leak usually means mold by the time anyone calls.
Where We Work
We are based in McKinney and cover 50 cities across Collin, Dallas, Denton, Tarrant, Rockwall, and Johnson counties. Being local is not a marketing line here — it is why we can commit to being on site quickly rather than dispatching from another metro and hoping traffic cooperates.
Working With Your Insurance
We document the loss thoroughly and provide that record for your claim: photographs before anything is moved, moisture readings across the drying period, an itemised scope, and a record of what was removed and why.
What we will not do is tell you what your policy covers or what your carrier will pay. Those decisions are theirs. Any restoration company that promises you a claim outcome is telling you what you want to hear.
